Intel Matrix Error Occurred Raid 1

Once reported, our moderators will be notified and the post will be reviewed. All my games and other software will need to be re-installed on the new machine. As far as I can figure out, an error reading data from any disk in the array one time at boot seems to cause this error message, and the message persists I'm glad I found this thread, because now at least I know it's not actually a drive problem.
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Raid Error Occurred (0)
Disabling one controller in BIOS will result in a boot error if you disable the one with the disks attached (no drives found or some such error). Right-click on each drive and select the popup menu option "Mark as Normal". Then just look at which one the cables are plugged into. Register now!
Any suggestions on how to obtain the correct upgrade (being that there is no longer any support for this hardware)? - This utility was built into the BIOS of my machine which was from 2004, so you should probably have the same.
Raid 0 Error Occurred
I have two 500gb drives in raid 0 config. This doesn't usually mean data loss but it would be good to back things up. After installing this and rebooting, I just went in and marked the volumes as normal.

The solution is simply to fix the problem with a disk utility (I used chkdsk /F) then mark the volume as Normal in the Intel application (as suggested below).
