There was the option to set it not to check for updates, but somebody in that thread said it would then pop up to remind me that I had set it Personally, I don’t like that update programs like this run continuously. I restored to that date and I found I was then able to delete the "installShield" forlder from C/Program Files/Common Files/InstallShield.
