I hope not. It tooks 30 minutes but it finally errored out. I would like to be able to point to the precise step which removed the old stuff but unfortunately can't do that with certainty. Found three basic reasons of Error 1603 mentioned here... Sometimes the drive that you want to install Windows on does not appear in the list. I tried to use Winrar first for extracting, but it seems to auto-extract the .msi-files. If these configurations are broken, they lead to error 1603.
