- Another possible solution was to create a new local account with admin rights and try the wizard from that but alas the same error occurs.
Also, SMSTS.log file can tell us more details. As it turns out this error message was being generated by sysprep as I hadn't removed the Windows 8 applications in the supported manner (as detailed here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2769827). Saved me from insanity. Mmmm not sure whats happening there. 0x00004005 Capture "windows 10" However, there is a max 3 times per computer limit for the sysprep command.
